If there is not already a fire ring at your chosen site, you should stick to cooking on your camp stove or bring a portable fire pit for ambiance.

Even if there is a fire ring, always check fire restrictions in your area before starting a campfire. Never leave a fire unattended, and be sure to put your fire out with water until the coals are cool to the touch. You can combine these resources to cross check information and confirm accuracy.
